FAQ's

Should I get my car Dyno Tuned instead of Street Tuned?

Dyno tuning is superior to street tuning because it provides a controlled and consistent environment, ensuring precise adjustments to your vehicle’s engine parameters. Unlike street tuning, which is influenced by changing road conditions, traffic, and weather, a dyno allows for accurate replication of real-world scenarios without external variables. This controlled setup enables us to safely improve your vehicle’s performance by optimizing air-fuel ratios, ignition timing, and boost levels.

Additionally, dyno tuning is much safer than street tuning. For performance applications, many wide-open throttle tests involve accelerating the vehicle to a high rate of speed, often over 100mph. Would you be comfortable with someone doing 100mph in your vehicle on a public road?

Prior to your tuning session it is important that you ensure that your fluids are topped off and your vehicle is in proper working order. Providing us with context for the vehicle, including any and all engine related modifications, is also important to ensure the best tuning results.

Yes! Each time you modify your vehicle after the initial tune, it is highly recommended that you have it re-tuned. Some modifications will require minor adjustments to your tune, while others may require more extensive adjustments. In either case, we value repeat customers and want to continue to be part of your modification journey.

Depending on the level of modifications, dyno tuning typically takes a few to several hours. In the vast majority of cases, if you drop the car off in the morning we will have it ready for pick up by the end of the day. In some cases though, especially when we are tuning for significant modifications, we recommend you being prepared to leave the vehicle overnight. This will allow us more time to ensure the proper results and to check tuning parameters for cold starts.
