At Turbo Lab we have both a 2WD (Dynojet 248x) and AWD (Dynojet 424xLC2) chassis dyno. Dynojet is considered an industry leader, offering consistent and unalterable measurements of your vehicle’s power.
We offer dyno tuning services throughb a variety of tuning software, such as HP Tuner, Cobb, Hondata, KTuner, AEM, ECUMaster, MegaSquirt, Holley EFI, Haltech, LinkECU, and more. You can also rent one of our dynos if you’re just curious about your vehicle’s performance and want horsepower and torque numbers.
Dyno tuning is superior to street tuning because it provides a controlled and consistent environment, ensuring precise adjustments to your vehicle’s engine parameters. Unlike street tuning, which is influenced by changing road conditions, traffic and weather, a dyno allows for accurate replication of real-world scenarios without external variables. This controlled setup enables us to safely improve your vehicle’s performance by optimizing air-fuel ratios, ignition timing, an boost levels
Prior to you tuning session it is important that you ensure your vehicle is in proper working order. This includes, but is not limited to, topping off all fluids and ensuring no leaks. Providing us with context for the vehicle, including any modifications or issues you’ve had, is also important to ensuring the best tuning results.
Yes! Each time you modify your vehicle after the initial tune, it is highly recommended that you have it re-tuned to ensure that vehicle’s parameters are accurate for the modifications. Some modifications will require only minor adjustments to your tune, while others may require more extensive adjustments. In either case, we value repeat customers and want to continue to be part of your modification journey.
Depending on the level of modifications, dyno tuning typically takes a few to several hours. In the vast majority of cases, if you drop the car off in the morning we will have it ready for pick up by the end of the day. In some cases though, especially when tuning for significant modifications, we recommend you being prepared to leave the vehicle overnight. This will allows us more time to ensure the proper results and to check tuning parameters for cold starts.
While we can often provide very rough estimates based on our experience with similar setups, it’s impossible to give an accurate prediction of your vehicle’s power output prior to the dyno tuning process. Many factors influence the final power output, including the overall health of your engine and drivetrain components, potential restrictions in your airflow or exhaust system, fuel quality, and even ambient conditions. Our goal is to maximize performance safely and reliably based on your vehicle’s condition and modifications.
